To My Daughter: an Aznavour tribute

A 2019 report connects the song to Aznavour’s ninety-fifth anniversary.

In May 2019, the newspaper Republic of Armenia reported that Harout Pamboukjian had presented a song dedicated to the ninety-fifth anniversary of Charles Aznavour’s birth. The Russian-language report identified Aznavour as the lyricist and Avo Harutyunyan as the translator from French.

The report linked the new presentation to Harout’s forthcoming June 30 concert at Hrazdan Stadium. It therefore connects a recorded tribute with a planned live programme, rather than treating the song as an isolated release.

A later digital edition titled To My Daughter is dated 2025 in Apple Music. That date belongs to the catalogue edition, not the first documented presentation of the tribute. Keeping both records visible helps explain why streaming services and contemporary newspaper reports can give different years for material associated with the same song.
