Who we are

This site is operated by the Harout Pamboukjian website team (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at any time through the contact form.

Contact inquiries

When you send a message, WordPress stores your name, email address, topic, message and consent with a timestamp. An email notification is sent to the site team, and you receive an automatic acknowledgement. Your inquiry is recorded in the contact-management system that runs on this website and is tagged by topic (general, booking or press) so it reaches the right person. Your details are used to handle your inquiry and are not displayed publicly. Contacting the team does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

Newsletter

The signup form asks for your consent to receive music updates, stories and concert announcements. We use double opt-in: we email you a confirmation link and add you to the list only after you confirm. Subscriber records are kept in the contact-management system that runs on this website, and newsletters are delivered through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES). Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and we may record whether messages are opened and links are clicked to understand what readers enjoy. Addresses that bounce or report a message as spam are automatically suppressed so we stop emailing them. You can also use the contact form to ask for removal from the mailing list.

Push notifications

Browser push notifications are optional. If you accept the browser prompt, use the notification bell or tick the push option on the newsletter form, our push provider OneSignal stores a browser subscription identifier together with basic technical details such as your browser, operating system and language, so we can send you updates about new music, videos and tour dates. You can turn notifications off at any time with the notification bell or in your browser’s site settings. See OneSignal’s privacy policy for information about its processing.

Article comments

When you comment on a Media article, WordPress stores your name, email address, comment, submission time, IP address and browser information. Your name and approved comment appear publicly; your email address is not displayed. Visitor comments are reviewed before publication. Commenting does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Comments and their associated records are kept with the discussion unless removed. You can use the contact form to request access to or removal of your comment and associated information.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics, through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and from which countries. It uses cookies and similar technologies, and IP anonymization is enabled. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. A theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser.

Security and bot protection

The site uses Cloudflare for DNS, content delivery and security, which means your IP address and request details pass through Cloudflare when you visit. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused CAPTCHA alternative, to tell people from automated bots; Turnstile may collect browser and device signals for that purpose. Embedded media

YouTube videos and Apple Music players load when you choose to play them. Album artwork loads from Apple’s image servers. Archival photographs may load from their credited publishers. Video thumbnails may load from YouTube before playback. YouTube, Google Fonts and external streaming or social websites handle data under their own policies.

Who handles your information

We use trusted service providers to run the site: our web hosting provider; Amazon Web Services (email delivery); Cloudflare (delivery, security and CAPTCHA); OneSignal (push notifications); and Google (analytics and fonts). They process information only to provide their services to us. We do not sell your personal information. Some providers operate in other countries, including the United States, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live.

How long we keep it

Inquiry and mailing-list records are kept until you ask us to remove them or you unsubscribe; after you unsubscribe we keep only a minimal record so we do not email you again. Email delivery logs are kept for a short period, about two weeks. Comments are kept with their discussion unless removed.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to withdraw consent at any time. Use the contact form to make a request. Newsletter consent is separate from contacting the team, and you can unsubscribe or switch off push notifications whenever you like.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
