Some photographs tell their story quietly. In this one, Harout Pamboukjian and his old friend Sako Ghazarossian stand close together, an arm resting around a shoulder. Harout wears black; Sako wears a blue jacket over a white shirt. Red roses fill the foreground. The picture feels personal and unhurried.

Sako shared the photograph on February 17, 2024, with a brief Armenian caption:

Երեկ գիշեր իմ շատ սիրելի ընկերոջս հետ:

“Last night with my very dear friend.”

— Sako Ghazarossian; English translation of the original caption

Those few words give the image its meaning. Sako chose to describe the person beside him through friendship. Harout’s official Facebook Page then shared the post, bringing that small, affectionate moment into the public archive.

Looking forward to the next meeting

For Sako and Harout, the friendship continues beyond the moment captured in this photograph. The two old friends are making plans to meet again, sharing kind words about a creative friendship that has lasted through the years.

Sako speaks with admiration about Harout’s talent. Even after a long friendship, Harout’s musical gifts remain a source of wonder to him. It is a warm expression of appreciation from someone who knows him personally, as well as through his music.

Their exchanges reflect the affection at the heart of that connection: two creative friends who value one another and look forward to spending time together again.

The moments worth keeping

A photograph like this offers a different way to look through an artist’s story. Concert recordings preserve a performance; a friendly portrait preserves the pleasure of someone’s company. Here, the closeness of the pose and the warmth of the caption carry the story together.

For listeners who know Harout through his songs and appearances, it is a welcome glimpse of the everyday connections surrounding a public life. Old friends do not always need a long account of the evening. Sometimes a photograph and a single sentence are enough to mark a moment worth remembering.

We share this image as part of the Media archive: a modest record of friendship, with Sako’s own words at its heart.
